A new learning experience......CLAY MODELLING

Well.....from the beginning itself i have been fond of art, colours, and celebrations........and you know Art has been the most basic and widely used means of expressing ourselves .....
I have always enjoyed the arts....
and this time i have another remarkable chance to learn something really amazing and challenging....CLAY MODELLING
Its actually a part of our Engg. Design academic programme here, at IIT Madras.
I had been fascinated towards this art form from my childhood itself ....when i used to see potter's wheel..or when i used to wonder on the beauty of those Durga and Ganesh clay idols during various festivals..... I even had chances to go to the places where these idols were actually made and i really admires it ....you cant just imagine at the beginning, when it starts from scratch , that how beautiful a form can be after its completely finished.

I knew that we have course like this but i was never excited about it until the first day when we reached the working place itself.....
We admired the models made by our seniors last year...some of them were quite amazing..........
so it started with a demonstration from our instructor ...and all of us wondered
how beautifully he transformed a lump of clay into a vivid posture of a man.

Finally,we were also given a chance to make different figures using wires. That wasnt quite good output from my part, but still I enjoyed it a lot.
